Carestream Spotlights Artificial Intelligence Advancements at RSNA 2021
By continuously listening to customers—including radiographers, radiologists and administrators—and focusing on industry developments, Carestream recognizes the positive contribution that artificial intelligence (AI) can make in radiology. The company’s groundbreaking Smart Noise Cancellation (SNC) isolates and removes noise to produce images that are significantly clearer than standard processing; or reduces dose without a loss in image quality, enhancing critical clinical decision making. Carestream’s Eclipse—the engine behind ImageView, the company’s cutting-edge imaging software platform—uses proprietary algorithms and AI to amplify the value of the entire imaging chain. Eclipse powers a range of capabilities that provides improved workflow efficiency, superb image quality, consistent presentation and dose efficiency enabling better patient diagnoses and care.
Carestream Features Enhanced DR Room Imaging at RSNA 2021
Carestream’s advanced Smart Room features will be demonstrated at RSNA on the DRX-Evolution Plus System and DRX-Compass X-ray System. Smart DR Workflow capabilities include Smart Auto-Position, Smart Patient Positioning, Smart Technique and Smart Collimation. These AI-driven features helpthe radiographer increase productivity, improve image consistency and enhance patient care. Carestream will showcase additional enhancements to its X-ray rooms. The premium DRX-Evolution Plusnow includes a smaller tubehead profile, larger display, extended tube-column and upgraded tabletop, along with functional LED lighting and a refreshed industrial design. The upgrade-friendly DRX-Compass now offers a more affordable floor-mount option, delivering an innovative, flexible and efficient medical imaging solution to sites that are unable to accommodate an overhead tube crane.
Carestream HighlightsInnovativeMobile Imaging at RSNA 2021
Carestream continues its focus on advanced diagnostic imaging with patient and provider safety at the forefront. The Ziehm Vision RFD C-arm, a mobile, fluoroscopicsurgical imaging system with a flat-panel detector, allows for broad procedural work including vascular, cardiac, spine ortho-trauma and pain management, in addition to many general surgical applications. The enhanced DRX-Revolution Mobile X-ray System provides functional LED lighting and more responsive display screens that have been designed for easier disinfecting. Carestream’s mobile and fluoroscopic product offerings deliver high-quality diagnostic images at the bedside, reducing the need to transport patients throughout a facility.
Carestream Displays State-of-the-Art Detectors at RSNA 2021
With a continued commitment to innovation, Carestream offers its first glass-free cesium medical detector. Weighing just around five pounds, the Lux 35 Detector is a lightweight, glass-free wireless detector. The detector has been totally redesigned with ergonomic features including beveled edges, rounded corners and built-in finger grips for less strain and stress on radiographers and a more comfortable exam for patients. The DRX-L Detector captures long-length, high-quality images in a single 51” exposure, decreasing retakes and enabling a higher level of comfort, especially for pediatric patients and patients with limited mobility. The fast and light Focus 35C and 43C detectors offer high-quality image capture along with an affordable way to upgrade to full wireless digital imaging.
Carestream Exhibits DR Retrofit Systems at RSNA 2021
Carestream’s solutions offer a clear and efficient expansionpathway for the future. At RSNA, imaging facilities that have not yet fully upgraded to digital radiography (DR) can explore affordable pathways with a variety of DR Retrofit Systems. With these systems, facilities can move forward to full wireless DR imaging at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a new system. Carestream’s retrofit solutions—both rooms and mobiles—use a single wireless detector to quickly and cost effectively convert existing equipmentto full digital operation, delivering all the provider and patient benefits of a DR system.
