Advanced Data Systems Corporation Leverages Surescripts for Digital Delivery

Thinking of Starting Your Own Practice? Here's What You'll Need

Advanced Data Systems (ADS), a leading provider of RIS automation, is pleased to announce its connection with Surescripts for the delivery of finalized reports between imaging centers and their referring physicians’ EHRs. This new product — EMRdirect — will be part of MedicsRIS and will utilize the Surescriptsnetwork as the digital report delivery system. Surescripts is the nation’s most comprehensive health information network.

David Barzillai, President of ADS, said, “Using EMRdirect in conjunction with Surescripts will give our radiology clients a cost effective, easy to use method to ensure that radiology reports go directly into their referring physicians’ EHRs without a costly HL7 interface.”

ADS will utilize Surescripts’ Clinical Direct Messaging, a direct secure messaging service that provides a single point of connectivity to a broad reach of community partners, enabling care providers to meet regulatory requirements, improve care coordination and increase workflow efficiency. The Surescripts directory supports access to community partners, locally and nationally, and across all technology platforms so they can exchange clinical information.

Delivering reports to referring physicians’ EMRs in a cost effective manner makes EMRdirect a valuable tool for radiologists, referring physicians, and their mutual patients. The companies look forward to collaborating together on additional interoperable capabilities that will benefit medical practices of every specialty, as well as medical revenue cycle management companies.

“As a leader in the exchange of health information, Surescripts offers the security, trust, range, and experience that are critical to ADS’ efforts in securely and electronically delivering radiology reports,” said Mike Pritts, Executive Vice President of Product Innovation at Surescripts. “The ability to transmit radiology reports directly to referring physicians’ systems via EMRdirect represents an extraordinary leap in the right direction in terms of document delivery, and we look forward to working with ADS and their radiology clients in enabling this type of interconnectivity.”
