BJC Behavioral Health Services
BJC Employee Assistance Program (EAP) — Provides short-term counseling services to employees of companies in the St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan area, including BJC HealthCare. While the focus is working with traditional businesses, EAP also specializes in providing counseling services to sports organizations. The staff provides counseling services, and makes referrals to appropriate outside professionals to meet employee needs.
BJC Behavioral Health — Provides and coordinates behavioral health services for Missouri citizens in St. Louis city; and in St. Louis, St. Francois, Iron and Washington counties. Services are provided through private contracts and health plans. This organization serves as a point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by the Missouri Department of Mental Health.
Behavioral Health Response Inc. (BHR) — Provides a 24-hour mental health crisis service offering telephone crisis intervention, mobile community crisis assessments and crisis stabilization beds. BHR was developed with other area community mental health centers — Crider Center, Comtrea and Hopewell Center — to ensure a region wide response to mental health crises.
BJC Behavioral Health is a member health service organization of BJC HealthCare and an administrative agent for the Missouri Department of Mental Health. We provide an array of mental health services and arrange for other supportive services that allow adults with serious mental illnesses and children with serious emotional disturbances to live independently in their homes and communities. Our mission is “to improve the health and well-being of the people and communities we serve who are impacted by mental illness.” We are experts in treating serious mental illness. We hire people with bachelors and masters degrees in social work, psychology, counseling and rehabilitation services.
BJC Behavioral Health employs evidence-based practices such as Assertive Community Treatment, Individual Dual-Diagnosis Therapy, Co-occurring Counseling, Family Wraparound and other emerging practices. BJC Behavioral Health employs individuals in roles such as:

- HIMS Representative
