Boston Childrens Hospital
Boston Childrens Hospital is a 395-bed comprehensive center for pediatric health care. As one of the largest pediatric medical centers in the United States, Children’s offers a complete range of health care services for children from birth through 21 years of age. (Our services can begin interventions at 15 weeks gestation and in some situations we also treat adults.)
We have approximately 25,000 inpatient admissions each year and our 200+ specialized clinical programs schedule 557,000 visits annually. Last year the hospital performed more than 26,500 surgical procedures and 158,700 radiological examinations
Our team of physicians and nurses has been recognized by a number of independent organizations for overall excellence, and we’re proud to share some notable examples with you here.
Boston Children’s Hospital is committed to better understanding and improving the experiences for our patients and families while at Boston Children’s. After a visit, you or your child might receive a survey by mail or email asking about your experience. Your feedback is important to us and helps us improve and provide the best care to all patients and families.
Our inpatient survey, Child HCAHPS, is used by pediatric hospitals across the country. The data shows how we perform on the survey question “Would you recommend this hospital to your friends and family?”
The data shown is a Top Box Score. Top Box is the number of times we get the highest possible score on the survey question. It is the percent of times we received a “Definitely, yes” if would recommend Boston Children’s Hospital.
“At Boston Children’s, we are servant leaders. It’s not about me, it’s not about any single one of us. We all contribute our expertise, our genius, our care, our devotion and our passion. We are here as a team to do one thing and that is to care for our patients and families, and to support each other in doing that as colleagues, as team members, and as our own Boston Children’s family.”
