Care homes are delivering safe, proactive, personalised care through the sharing of electronic medical records using the new SystmOne Care Homes module.
With 20% of people over the age of 85 permanently residing in care homes1, there is an increasing need to provide support for the elderly. Donisthorpe Hall Care Home, one of the largest in Yorkshire, has been viewing the electronic medical records of residents to provide the highest levels of care and support. The electronic medical record contains data from other services caring for the person, including GP practices and urgent care providers, enabling them to coordinate care across the whole health system.
In addition, staff in care homes often need to act on behalf of residents. The use of SystmOne is enabling these staff to make those decisions based on accurate and up to date information.
