CareCloud has announced the availability of CareCloud Patient Payments, its new integrated credit processing solution available to users of CareCloud Central, the company’s medical practice management system. The new solution enables medical groups to process patient payments more efficiently, offer greater payment flexibility to patients, and improve overall patient billing effectiveness.
CareCloud Patient Payments uses connected card readers and stores cards on file to reduce time-consuming follow-up for staff. In addition, it provides the functionality for medical groups to set up and manage patient payment plans easily within their practice management system. With this new solution, CareCloud clients can also now offer their patients the option make partial payments of their bills, improving the patient experience and removing barriers to payment.
“At CareCloud, we understand the pressure that rising patient cost-sharing is putting on medical groups across the country. These groups need solutions that make it easier to secure patient payments, while being sensitive to their patients’ ability to pay increasingly large bills,” said Ken Comée, CareCloud’s Chief Executive Officer. “With our new patient payments solution integrated into CareCloud Central, we’re helping our clients adapt to the changing landscape with more effective patient billing processes.”
Matt Nachreiner, Practice Administrator of Sanova Dermatology in Austin, Texas, has already seen a significant impact from adopting the solution in his practice. “The new integrated credit card processing capabilities in CareCloud Central have simplified our patient billing workflow immensely,” Nachreiner stated. “In addition to charging cards in-office faster with a connected card reader, we can now store cards on file, so it’s easier to capture patient balances later on. Plus, the payment plan functionality lets us give patients the option to spread their payments over time and the system charges the cards automatically as scheduled, so it’s effortless on our part to administer.”
