Remote Patient Monitoring ‘In-a-Box’, Voice Driven Forms Completion, Smart Paper Forms and Digital Pens, Interactive Home-based Therapy Management System, and Automated Risk and Vulnerability Assessment Technologies To Be Showcased
ChartaCloud Technologies LLC (“ChartaCloud“) announced that its ChartaCares service business unit will unveil its planned advances in home care technologies at the New England Home Care & Hospice Conference and Trade Show being held May 19-21, 2015 in Manchester, NH. The technologies target the challenges of reducing patient re-admissions, enhancing therapeutic recovery successes, and gaining control over risk and vulnerability assessments and HIPAA security compliance while in every instance improving the operational efficiencies in the new era of home care.

The company will make introductions of the ‘home care in a box’ product enabling patient self-monitoring with instant alerts and communications to primary caregivers and guardians; secure texting; secure transmission of records and data regarding health delivery and care data metrics; and a mobile forms processing platform combined with GPS-enabled staff scheduling, visit verification, tracking, and dispatch.
ChartaCloud will also feature automated risk assessment software and services that significantly improve the management of security and vulnerability surrounding the use of technologies in the age of HIPAA IT.
The company will introduce and showcase its ForMedical VAULT for HIPAA IT. The ForMedical VAULT is designed to provide home care services with a HIPAA compliant IT foundational infrastructure that arrives ready to ‘plug in and go’. The Formedical VAULT provides the essentials of an internal IT infrastructure for business software applications that can be easily managed, maintained and readily scalable to meet business growth. The ForMedical VAULT includes such features as secure single sign on access, secure networking, intrusion detection, e-mail defense, digital EHR and business records management, file back-up services, centralized secure texting management with defined group participation, and mobile device management with ‘BYOD’ mobile device data protection. The ForMedical VAULT also links to the company’s ForMedical CLOUD services that provide foundational IT services for security and compliance such as PC backup, secure e-mail, and secure cloud-based EHR capture, storage, and management, providing 24/7, anywhere records access.
The company will also introduce two of its advances in the use of voice technology. One advance features the ability to complete a form via voice entry, and a second, the use of secure voice biometrics for electronic care giver identity and visit verification.
Advances in the company’s previously introduced ‘smart paper forms’ and digital pen system will also be demonstrated at the trade show.
On April 27, 2015 the company had previously announced the addition of Tim Bateman to its Technology Advisory Board. Mr. Bateman is a founder of the Home Care CEO Council, as well as co-founder of Home Care 100. He is also an owner and former top executive of Lincoln Healthcare Group, an information company serving C-level healthcare executives
“It is a very exciting time for advances in the provision of home care and remote patient monitoring. We continue to focus on the quality of care while enabling home care services to also benefit from the cost reductions and operational efficiencies that these technologies deliver to patients and providers. These product introductions have been planned for one of the nation’s premier Home Care and Hospice events where we look forward to meeting first hand with those who are dedicated to do the caring,” said Lauryn Schimmel, managing director of ChartaCloud. “Providing technology that works the way caregivers do by voice, with paper, by touch, and with pen will have an enormous impact on reducing the readmissions rate of patients,” Schimmel concluded.
