12 Benefits You Can Offer Your Employees To Show Your Appreciation

Companies that find it essential to make their employees happy tend to see better company morale, higher retention rate, increased productivity and a better bottom line. Happier employees help create a more positive company culture. You can offer your employees many benefits to show your gratitude for their hard work and devotion to your company they bring daily. Here are 12 great options.

1. De-stressors

You could offer stress relievers such as on-site chair massages, red light therapy, yoga classes or space to take a power nap during the infamous midday slump. You could also offer discounts on gym memberships, float therapy and other types of healthy de-stressors.

2. Clubs

Encourage your employees to start clubs based on their interests. They can choose to meet before or after work or during their lunch hour. They can share different activities such as creating art, talking about the latest episode of their favorite TV show or helping each other with emotional difficulties or with their weight loss goals through support groups.

3. Options for Flextime and Remote Work

If your employees don’t absolutely have to be at work at certain hours of the day, you can offer them options to work more flexible hours and remotely. Many people would find these options extremely helpful as they juggle work obligations with taking care of their family and other responsibilities.

4. Walking Meetings

Walking is excellent for you for several reasons. It can make you healthier by increasing your heart rate and working your body. Offer your employees who are parents the chance to have a date night with their significant other occasionally. You can hire childcare professionals to come to the office so your employees can drop their kids off while they have an evening out without having to worry about paying a babysitter.

11. Wellness Contests

Incentivize employees for getting healthier and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You can hold contests to keep them motivated and hold them accountable. Give different incentives each time to have more of a chance of motivating everyone.

12. Reduced Hours

Some companies have found that cutting work hours can actually increase productivity and morale. Try eliminating Fridays, or even one Friday a month. You can also surprise your employees by unexpectedly cutting a workday short occasionally.
