6 Ways AI Can Help Your Business

These days, it’s all about efficiency and productivity. Artificial intelligence (AI) can assist you with those and many other things at your organization. Here are six ways AI can help your business.

1. Faster Delivery

One of the most effective uses of AI is improvements to development and delivery speeds, without sacrificing creativity or accuracy. Your product teams, code developers and IT teams will be able to leverage AI to speed up their processes and ensure quality control at the same time. One of the most common ways faster delivery is achieved is through MLOps, or Machine Learning Operations. MLOps is a combination of DevOps and machine learning software designed to create more efficient and collaborative workflows, which in turn can produce and develop more effective products.

2. More Robust Customer Support

AI is also a natural fit for assisting in customer support. While even the most advanced programs are nowhere near the capabilities of a human customer support agent, they can greatly reduce the burden on your employees by taking care of simpler tasks and issues for them. AI chatbots can triage customer complaints and issues, sending those with simple questions in the right direction to find answers, providing assistance with more complex issues and getting customers with highly complex or urgent issues in touch with an employee. This way, employees can spend more time working on those more difficult and high-priority tasks without worrying that they’re neglecting customers with simpler or less urgent queries.

3. More Efficient Data Management

Data collection and management is a complex and multi-faceted process. You can leverage AI to improve the efficiency and accuracy of this process. The simplest AI programs can be taught to collect and sort data according to your specifications and requirements. As these programs get more complex, they can perform more complex data management tasks. You can use more robust AI programs to perform simple data comparisons and run your database or network. The most complex programs can perform much better data analysis and enable you to make more sound decisions based on those analyses.

4. Better Business Insights

The data analyses provided by AI programs can greatly assist you in making decisions regarding your organization. These programs can use data to establish and analyze trends and develop informed insights and predictions. A good AI program can incorporate both your own financial metrics and the trends developing in your industry over time. This enables your financial management and data analysis employees to spend more time acting on those insights and predictions rather than making them.

5. Improved Cybersecurity

You can also use AI to improve your cybersecurity infrastructure. AI programs can monitor your network and databases 24/7 and be taught to recognize and respond to all sorts of cybersecurity threats. Depending on the type of program you employ, you can leverage it to support your existing security infrastructure, such as encryption, firewalls and access keys or you can teach it to recognize and thwart certain types of threats you may be most at risk for. These can include viruses, malware, phishing and hacking attempts. Because AI can learn on its own and improve its own processes, it can evolve on par with cyberthreats with very little intervention on your part.

6. Increased Productivity

Not only can AI improve customer support, cybersecurity and data analysis, but it can actually improve workplace productivity overall. This doesn’t mean AI programs will replace regular employees. Instead, AI can support employees and enable them to spend more time working on creative and intricate projects, rather than getting bogged down in various repetitive and less urgent tasks. You can leverage AI to assist in meeting and sales scheduling, data entry, internal and external technical support and other administrative work.
AI is an incredibly flexible tool that can be applied in a myriad of ways. Its versatility means that no matter what industry your organization is involved in, you can find at least one way to leverage AI for your benefit.
