7 Ways to Have Glowing Skin

7 Ways to Have Glowing Skin

Achieving fair skin doesn’t have to be difficult. Many resort to using crude products and starving themselves to get the skin they desire. But it doesn’t have to be this way! Below we take you through some of the ways you can obtain healthy and revitalized skin.

  1. Drink plenty of water

Drinking water is vital to your dermatological goals. Consuming lots of water consistently throughout your day helps keep your body hydrated. Fresh glowing skin is a byproduct of a hydrated body. Blemishes, acne, spots, and other skin conditions are a side effect of malnutrition and dehydration. To keep your skin youthful, smooth, and fresh, you should aim to consume at least 6 to 8 glasses of water daily. Practicing this trend will reap a myriad of benefits to both your body and skin.

  1. Moisturize

It is important to frequently moisturize your skin with moisturizer and or lotion. Dry, bland, and dull skin tones can be easily remediated using a good moisturizer. However, one must factor the various types, properties, and uses of each moisturizer. For instance, oil-based creams are best applied during drier-colder seasons of the year. This helps provide proper nourishment for your skin and prevent chapped skin. On hotter days, a water-based moisturizer works effectively preventing your pores from clogging up.

  • Aside from that, there are many brands to choose from. Bear in mind to select those compatible to your skin sensitivity. The last thing you would want is a breakout.
  • Avoid products laced with chemical reagents or harsh substances, target natural ingredient based moisturizers.
  • Seek out lotions containing niacin amide, vitamin C, green tea extracts, and hyaluronic acids. They provide a softer even tone.
  • Moisturize after a hot shower. Utilizing a moisturizer as soon after showering reduces moisture loss thus leaving your skin supple and bright.

  1. Frequently exfoliate your skin

Our skin tissue, like many cells on our body, undergoes regular shedding. When our skin sheds, we look ‘ashy’ in appearance. Ensure to moisturize to ease the effects. Most importantly, if you don’t exfoliate regularly, dust from the outside world get clumped up together and blocks our skin’s pores. This will leave your skin looking dull. When you exfoliate, your pores open up thus sloughing off any dirt and oil trapped within. Consequently, exfoliating helps exposing robust and fresh skin on the surface.

  • Rough products will only negatively impact your skin’s glow. Organic/natural ingredient based is the way to go.
  • Know when to exfoliate. Ideally, the best time is when the skin is wet. This allows the formula to absorb seamlessly. Gently scrub the area in circular motions for half a minute. Rinse with warm water and dry your skin (but not fully). Apply moisturizer to your slightly wet skin for an invigorated glow.

  1. Using a Humidifier

During dry months, consider using a humidifier. A humidifier negates the effect of dry air by restoring moisture. In the presence of moist air, your skin will naturally absorb fluids to rejuvenate dry cracked skin. In time, your natural glow will radiate. Ensure to use distilled water and frequently change it. The condition of water used will affect the quality of your skin.

  1. Get ample rest

Full night rest is importan t to your state of mind as it is to your body. When we sleep, our body carries out a handful of tasks uninterrupted. Skin repair, the release of hormones, cell restoration, and growth occur promptly. Sleep deprivation can result in severe breakouts. It is recommended to get at least seven to eight hours of sleep a night for enhanced youthful skin.

  1. Exercise

Remaining active and exercising is not only great for your muscles and organs, but it is also excellent for your skin. An increase in blood flow causes red blood cells to transfer more oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. Aerobics exercises, jogging, and even sex are great ways to get your heart pumping and skin glowing. Gaming consoles utilizing a motion activated camera in fitness games are fun ways of shedding calories.

  1. Eat healthy

What you eat directly correlates to the impact it will have on your skin. Junk foods, sugary treats, and fats are the perpetrator of uneven skin complexions and acne. Eating a healthy diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, avocadoes, nuts, refined carbohydrates, and olive oil will result in clearer, smooth skin that permeates through the surface.

Final thoughts

Every effort put towards practicing these steps will get you closer to a lifestyle of full, lush, and glowing skin. In the end, you’ll thank yourself for making the right lifestyle choices. Keep healthy, live, love, and laugh.
