ACOs Using CareSignal’s Deviceless RPM Solution Generated $59 Million Savings

Care Signal
Care Signal

SAINT LOUIS, MO – November 3, 2022CareSignal, a Lightbeam Health Solutions company and innovator of Deviceless Remote Patient Monitoring®, today announces that ACOs using their solution generated $59 million in savings for the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) in performance year 2021. ACOs leveraging CareSignal also produced 14% higher average scores for CAHPS® measures related to Stewardship of Patient Resources, 3.75% higher average scores for Shared Decision Making, and 1.5% higher average scores for Health Promotion and Education when compared to ACOs not using CareSignal.

CareSignal’s Deviceless RPM technology uses widely accessible text messages and phone calls to enable care managers and providers to track patient symptoms outside of the clinic, improving patient access, experience, and communication. CareSignal empowers patients to better manage their chronic conditions by supporting 35 programs including chronic heart failure, COPD, depression, and social determinants of health and receive proactive care to reduce avoidable utilization. As CMS continues to emphasize health equity and better access to care, solutions like CareSignal play an important role in ensuring the right patient receives the right care at the right time.

“With this being CareSignal’s first year measuring MSSP results, and we are thrilled to see the positive impacts that Deviceless RPM has made for our value-based care clients, including ACOs,” says Joe McDonald, MBA, President, and COO of CareSignal. “These results demonstrate the success of the MSSP and their goals of achieving better health for individuals, improving population health, and reducing medical expenditures. CareSignal is honored to play a role in facilitating better relationships between providers and their patients, and we are excited to see the continued achievements of ACOs and REACH ACOs.”

Driving $59 million in savings for the MSSP, CareSignal is well-aligned to help not only ACOs, but any provider or payer organization participating in value-based care to improve patient experience and reduce avoidable utilization.
