Allscripts’ (MDRX) Sunrise EHR Demand Continues to Rise

vitreoshealth

Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (MDRXAnalyst Report) recently announced that its Sunrise platform has been selected as an Electronic Health Record (“EHR”) system by Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC). Additionally, Allscripts’ Sunrise platform will offer revenue cycle system to TCRHCC’s 73-bed hospital and ambulatory clinics.

Allscripts’ Sunrise platform provides a complete range of fully integrated inpatient, ambulatory, emergency care and surgical care solutions to electronic health record (EHR) clients.

We believe that the new contract will help Allscripts’ Sunrise platform gain better market traction, which will result in more business for the company. It has been a story of constant achievements for Allscripts’ Sunrise platform. From winning industry recognitions to fetching new clients, the platform has indeed lived up to expectations and helped the company achieve growth over time.

Last month, Allscripts’ Sunrise platform has been selected as an Electronic Patient Record (“EPR”) system by U.K.-based King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital has a modest footprint in the region with roughly 1400 beds in two sites.

Notably, last October, the company’s Sunrise platform was selected by University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust (“UHSM”) and Baptist Health Care Corporation.

In Aug 2015, research company Black Book handed over a coveted recognition to Allscripts for operational superiority. Further, the Sunrise platform was recognized as the top inpatient EHR used in large hospitals and academic medical centers in 2014 as well as 2015.

Zacks Rank and Other Key Picks

Currently, Allscripts carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy). Other favorably ranked stocks in the medical sector are athenahealth (ATHNAnalyst Report), Omnicell (OMCLAnalyst Report) and Streamline Health Solutions (STRMSnapshot Report). All the stocks sport a Zacks Rank #1
