EHR Vendors Losing Out To Third-Party ACO Solutions Providers

The latest report from technology research firm, KLAS, has indicated that EHRs are not meeting ACO (accountable care organizations) needs, who are instead turning to third-party solutions. This finding was based on the response from 46 ACOs about opinions around their software usage. Read more at Health Data Management.

Clinical Decision Support System Market Report Available

IT Business Net announced the release of the report, ”The Clinical Decision Support System (CDSS) Market by Product — Integrated (EHR, CPOE), Model (Knowledge-based), Applications (Drug Allergy Alerts, Drug Interactions), Delivery Mode (Web-based, Cloud-based), (Hardware, Software).” It includes 78 market data tables and 28 figures, and is 242 pages in length. The report also outlines key players and delivery modes, and includes a geographical analysis of the CDSS market.

Blackberry Enters Healthcare IT

Healthcare IT News has indicated that telecommunication giant, Blackberry, has recently acquired a stake in cloud-based, medical IT provider, NantHealth. The companies have indicated that they intend to “collaborate on the development of HIPAA and other government privacy certified, integrated clinical systems.” The amount of the investment and terms of the deal are unclear.
