eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announces that Banner Health Network (BHN), an accountable care organization (ACO) based in Phoenix, Arizona, has chosen the eClinicalWorks comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) solution for 600 medical providers. BHN will also utilizeeClinicalWorks CCMR for population health management. Use of this Cloud-based technology will aid continuity of care efforts across multiple settings, allowing critical information to be accessible at the point of care.

“We were looking for technology that would help us deliver the highest quality of care efficiently,” said Jennifer Jackson, Sr. Director for IT and Population Health Data Systems at BHN. “Many of our physicians were using eClinicalWorks successfully in their practices, leading us to a decision to expand our use of this platform. Because it is designed with a highly coordinated patient care experience, eClinicalWorks’ technology will also aid us in meeting our quality of care initiatives, including specific ACO metrics.”

This project outfits a percentage of BHN’s community providers with a Cloud-based electronic health records solution that will streamline processes between practices and have an increased focus on delivering preventative care. The solution will also assist to improve continuity of care across multiple settings, allowing critical information to be accessible at the point of care. BHN will also utilize Join the Network™, a free P2P network for securely exchanging referrals and communications.

Layering eClinicalWorks CCMR provides visibility into a patient’s care across all settings, facilitates smooth transitions of care, engages patients and providers in preventative care, improves outcomes among populations and reduces costs. Using a population health platform like this allows for a window into the multiple EHR systems used by affiliated physicians, which is useful for ACO measures as well as a providing data back to the practices. A vendor-neutral, open network securely connects ambulatory EHRs with hospital in-patient systems and payer claim feeds, including CMS, to provide cost and utilization for services delivered to patients.

“Banner Health Network is committed to providing highly coordinated patient care across its care settings,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “eClinicalWorks’ track record in successful deployment with multi-specialty, multi-practice health networks makes this partnership a perfect fit. We look forward to outfitting its providers with a Cloud-based solution that will aid in increasing the quality of care delivered.”
