Only 705 Hospitals in the United States Have Achieved Stage 6 Level

Windsor, VT — HIMSS Analytics announced Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center (MAHHC) has achieved Stage 6 on the EMR Adoption ModelSM (EMRAM). Achieving Stage 6 status means the Hospital is implementing technology solutions that improve the safety of patients and further enhance the existing level of high quality care.

“Currently, only 13% of hospitals in the United States carry stage 6 HIMISS Analytics Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model designation.” says Kevin W. Donovan, Hospital CEO. “Achieving Stage 6 represents MAHHC’s commitment to being ahead of the curve when it comes to helping patients with their healthcare needs and provides our clinicians with added support in maintaining a high level of patient care.”

“HIMSS Analytics congratulates Mt. Ascutney Hospital and Health Center for leading the way toward health IT adoption,” said John Hoyt, FACHE, FHIMSS, Executive Vice President, HIMSS Analytics. “Stage 6 represents a level of sophistication that only 705 US hospitals have reached to date.”
