The cloud-based EDIS software was successfully implemented at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, MO, a partner in the Capella Healthcare system.

veEDIS Clinical Systems, LLC proudly announced that it has successfully implemented its cloud-based EMR, Emergency Department Information System (EDIS), in Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, located in Farmington, Missouri. Used by nurses and physicians to care for emergency patients, this program is a significant step toward modernizing technology and patient record-keeping at the busy facility. Additionally, the veEDIS EMR software is compliant and has  been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and will assist the hospital towards its own Meaningful Use requirements.

Because veEDIS is a cloud-based EHR system, the hospital was able to implement the software quickly and efficiently. In addition, veEDIS provides medical content aimed at improving documentation, mitigating risk and improving overall patient outcomes in the ER. The veEDIS Care Trak™ tool delivers emergency department medical research right to the treating physician and alerts them to inconsistencies or potential high risk factors. veEDIS provided a compliment of physicians, nurses and technicians to the hospital for the training and go-live, a less than thirty day (30) process.

“At Mineral we are constantly reassessing our communities healthcare needs and seeking new ways to enhance our services and technology,” said Christinia Jepsen, Chief Nursing Officer. “Implementation of veEDIS, to include the training and go-live process, was seamless for our staff and patients, and we feel the software will only enhance the patient-centered, high-quality care provided by the clinical team in our emergency department.”

“Our focus has been, and always will be, working hand-in-hand with our clients to ensure seamless integration and optimal utilization of our software,” said veEDIS President and CEO, Tom Grossjung. “Mineral Area has been wonderful to work with, and we look forward to helping them with the priority of providing the highest quality of care and patient safety to the Farmington community.”

Mineral Area Regional Medical Center has been providing care to the community for more than 60 years. With almost 20,000 patients a year seen in the emergency department, the hospital offers an extensive range of medical and surgical services to the community of Farmington, Missouri.
