Aug 27 : New Jersey’s CarePoint Health System Selects eClinicalWorks

new jersey’s carepoint health system

eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announced that Northern New Jersey’s CarePoint Health System, an integrated health network, has selected eClinicalWorks comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) solution for its 45 medical practices. CarePoint will also utilize the eClinicalWorks Care Coordination Medical Record® (CCMR) for population health management. This agreement will enable CarePoint, which runs Meditech in-patient systems in its three hospitals, to bring Cloud-based technologies to standardize its separate practices on a single EHR platform and improve care coordination.

“Focusing on preventive medicine, healthcare education, and disease management, CarePoint Health System excels in providing patients with 360-Degree Coordinated Care,” said Joel Taylor, Corporate CIO of CarePoint Health System. “We searched for a solution that could help raise consistency across the continuum, increase revenue capture, and, most importantly, improve quality of care and patient safety. In addition to being able to aid us in meeting these goals, our physicians found eClinicalWorks’ interface the most user-friendly and the continuity of care was the best they had seen.”

Employing eClinicalWorks EHR solution in a Cloud environment, CarePoint will streamline processes between practices and have more of a focus on delivering preventative care. The solution will also assist to improve continuity of care across multiple settings, allowing critical information to be accessible at the point of care. eClinicalWorks CCMR is designed to provide visibility into a patient’s care across all settings, facilitate smooth transitions of care, engage patients and providers in preventative care, improve outcomes among populations and reduce costs. A vendor-neutral, open network securely connects ambulatory EHRs with hospital in-patient systems and payer claim feeds, including CMS, to provide cost and utilization for services delivered to patients.

“CarePoint Health System is a leading organization in patient care and continues improving its system,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “We recognize that electronic health records systems need population health functionality in order to adequately meet healthcare’s evolving requirements, and have built capabilities that will propel organizations, including CarePoint, ahead. eClinicalWorks CCMR has been recognized by independent sources, including KLAS Research, as a leading population health platform. By working closely with CarePoint Health System, eClinicalWorks will aid the organization in achieving its goal of improving patient care.”
