By enabling remote patient monitoring, mobile healthcare technology enhances patient care.

The sector is changing as a result of new mobile healthcare technologies that allow for at-home patient monitoring and treatments. In the interim between their patients’ routine doctor visits, it enables medical teams to offer pro-active and predictive care.

In order to enable patients to check their vital signs at home, healthcare providers are progressively implementing remote patient monitoring (RPM) programs and providing patients with Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as consumer wearables, pulse oximeters, blood pressure and glucose monitors. This enables medical professionals to follow up with their patients from a distance and take action if necessary.

Implantable devices, such as pacemakers, that allow for continuous vital sign monitoring of patients have also been developed by medical device manufacturers. In the meanwhile, chronic pain, depression, Parkinson’s disease, and other disorders can be treated with neuromodulation devices that are inserted into the brain or spine to activate nerves. Physicians can oversee the care of patients with these implanted devices via real-time remote monitoring.

Because they act as the mobile form factor on which the software-as-a-service (SaaS) application is downloaded to enable these at-home patient care capabilities, mobile devices are crucial to the healthcare industry. Actually, mobile devices that store patient data on the cloud of the SaaS application are frequently coupled with implanted and RPM devices. The mobile gadget transmits the data to other health system apps or patients’ electronic medical records via their cellular connections. The program notifies clinicians to intervene and get in touch with their patients if anomalies are found.

Healthcare providers and medical manufactures may simply design, deploy, and secure devices in quantity with the help of the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G Healthcare Edition, a cheap mobile device and software bundle. Patients who use digital patient care technologies, such as RPM devices, will find this valuable.

More effective, more affordable care is made possible by remote patient monitoring.

During the pandemic, telemedicine was quickly adopted, and RPM, one type of telehealth, is still becoming more and more well-liked today. RPM instruments will be used by a projected 70.6 million U.S. patients by 2025, or 26.2% of the population, predicts eMarketer.

RPM peripherals and mobile devices work together to alleviate the difficulty of caring for patients who have long-term medical illnesses like diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension.

Research indicates that early intervention and preventative treatment through RPM not only allow for more effective and economical care, but also enhance patient outcomes and lower readmission rates to hospitals.

The Journal of the American Medical Association reported on an investigation that found that remote monitoring decreased per-patient expenses, hospitalizations by 87%, and mortality by 77%. RPM initiatives at UC San Diego Health have lowered blood pressure in hypertensive individuals.

The mobile healthcare technology from Samsung

Samsung recently released the Galaxy A15 Healthcare Edition, which combines the company’s inexpensive Galaxy A15 5G smartphone with its cloud security and device management solution, all in one convenient package, to cater to the needs of this particular market.

The 6.5-inch Galaxy A15 5G entry-level mobile device has a brighter screen, more storage, and a longer battery life than its predecessor. It also provides the performance that manufacturers of medical devices and healthcare providers require for their at-home patient care kits.

In order to make it easier and more affordable for providers and device makers to setup, operate, and protect a sizable fleet of devices, Samsung is now offering hardware and software bundles for the first time.

Samsung extended the Galaxy A15’s lifespan for the healthcare market from one year to three years as a result. In the consumer market, Samsung has customarily given its A Series phones a one-year lifespan. By purchasing the Galaxy A15 Healthcare Edition, businesses and healthcare organizations may now have a solid hardware and software platform by standardizing on the same device for three years.

In order to achieve this, the Android 14 OS is kept up to date throughout the life of the mobile device via the Galaxy A15 Healthcare Edition. Simultaneously, it gives users the option to upgrade their operating system whenever their apps are ready and verified by Samsung Knox E-FOTA. Samsung offers a two-year subscription to two Samsung Knox components in addition to five years of software maintenance support:

IT managers can remotely configure, protect, and lock down mobile devices in mass using Knox Configure Dynamic.
Knox E-FOTA is used to schedule firmware updates and make sure all devices have the latest Android operating system and firmware installed.

Organizations can extend their Samsung Knox licenses for an additional two years.

According to Samsung’s B2B category management lead Abhay Ganesh, “when our healthcare customers buy the new device, they will have not only the hardware, but also the security solution and the ability to deploy applications on the device and lock them down in kiosk mode.”

Enhance the mobile experience for patients

According to him, keeping up with basic software enables health institutions and businesses to continue adhering to national laws. The FCC in the United States, ISED in Canada, and regulatory agencies in the European Union and the United Kingdom have actually already certified the Samsung Galaxy A15 Healthcare Edition for voice and data.

At-home digital care solutions are powered by the Galaxy A15 Healthcare Edition.

In summary, in an effort to enhance patient care while streamlining processes and boosting productivity, healthcare institutions are progressively implementing remote monitoring and other at-home digital care services.

The integrated hardware and software bundle of the Samsung Galaxy A15 Healthcare Edition facilitates the scalability of the distribution of these digital services to patients for healthcare organizations and medical device manufacturers.

Rather than being only an overlay, security is ingrained in the hardware and begins at the kernel level. Because it lowers device, implementation, maintenance, and regulatory expenses while streamlining software compliance requirements, it is also an affordable solution.
