Carilion Clinic, a not-for-profit healthcare organization, signed a two-year contract with Sagacious Consultants, recently acquired by Accenture ACN, -1.37% to support patient engagement by improving the performance of key revenue cycle functions.

Sagacious will leverage its technical and operational expertise to help enhance the processes and systems at the core of Carilion Clinic’s business operations. The engagement will involve process improvement aimed to help Carilion Clinic with its strategy to appropriately increase patient financial clearance, reduce uncollectable debt, and increase the efficacy of collection activities directed towards insurance providers. The program is designed to help develop and implement revenue cycle solutions, to better ensure a complete transfer of knowledge for Carilion Clinic’s long-term sustainability and success.
