Cerner and CoverMyMeds have declared a contract

Cerner, a global leader in health care technology, and CoverMyMeds, the nation’s leading electronic preceding authorization (ePA) platform, have declared a contract to integrate CoverMyMeds’ ePA within Cerner’s Millennium(R) EHR. The advanced functionality will provide more than 350,000 e-prescribing end users the ability to accelerate the prescription review process by removing manual processes and assist reduce transaction costs.

According to a 2012 study by the Center for Health Transformation, PA and other medication formulary requirements are noteworthycontributors to the cost of provider interaction with health plans, which exceeds $100 billion annually. The study also showed beyond the health care costs, PA requests can delay patient treatment and result in prescription abandonment.

Cerner Corporation designs, develops, markets, installs, hosts, and supports healthcare information technology, healthcare devices, hardware, and content solutions for healthcare organizations and consumers in the United States and internationally. Enterprise Products Partners L.P.(NYSE:EPD)’s shares gained 0.59% to $27.41.

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (EPD) declared that construction of the Beaumont, Texas to Lake Charles, Louisiana segment of the Aegis pipeline is now complete and ready to deliver ethane to additional Gulf Coast petrochemical facilities. This new 48-mile segment, together with the initial 60-mile segment presently in service, provides reliable ethane supplies to petrochemical facilities between Mont Belvieu, Texas and Lake Charles.

The final leg of the 270-mile Aegis system will extend the pipeline from Lake Charles to the Mississippi River and is predictable to be accomplished by the end of 2015. Combined with Enterprise’s existing South Texas system, Aegis will provide shippers with access to a 500-mile ethane header system between Corpus Christi, Texas and the Mississippi River in Louisiana. The Aegis pipeline is supported by customer commitments in excess of 300,000 barrels per day (“BPD”) that ramp up over the next four years. The capacity of the pipeline can be expanded to about 400,000 BPD with additional pumps.

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. provides midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs), crude oil, petrochemicals, and refined products in the United States and internationally. Its NGL Pipelines & Services segment provides natural gas processing and related NGL marketing services, in addition to import and export terminal services. This segment operates NGL pipelines aggregating about 19,400 miles; NGL and related product storage facilities; and 15 NGL fractionators. The company’s Onshore Natural Gas Pipelines & Services segment operates about 19,300 miles of onshore natural gas pipeline systems to gather and transport natural gas in Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, and Wyoming.

At the end of Tuesday’s trade, Level 3 Communications, Inc.(NYSE:LVLT)‘s shares surged 2.05% to $45.88.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. (LVLT) has been awarded a contract with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to expand its current Master IT Services Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) program contract to comprise security, network and telecommunications services. These services are in addition to the existing consulting services awarded under a previous master contract. The ITQ program contract allows Level 3 to bid on business opportunities issued by the Commonwealth.

The ITQ program, launched in 2003, is a statewide, multiple-award contracting initiative that provides agencies a fast and efficient way to procure IT services from pre-qualified vendors, through COSTARS, the Commonwealth’s cooperative purchasing program. Under the agreement, Level 3 is pre-qualified in 10 service categories. The contract became effective July 21, 2015.
