Dr. Stephen Teach of the Children’s Research Institute at Children’s National Medical Center discusses the electronic medical records system in use at the hospital. That system incorporates a template that addresses all six GIP messages and facilitates care coordination between the hospital’s specialty asthma clinic and its primary care providers. This video is presented by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), part of the National Institutes of Health in the Department of Health and Human Services. The Children’s Research Institute is a Demonstration Project of the National Asthma Control Initiative (NACI).
