Unveiled at HIMSS19, the new collaboration promises to drive advancements in healthcare IT through the combination of knowledge and technology

Greenway Health, a leading health information technology and services provider, today announced it has been named a 2019 North American CHIME Innovation Partner by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). As a CHIME Innovation Partner, Greenway will advocate alongside senior professional and industry leaders on best practices regarding the effective use of information management in healthcare.

“We are honored to join CHIME, enabling us to collaborate with recognized health IT innovators, further serve our customers and the industry, and ultimately make a difference in the future of patient care,” said Richard Atkin, CEO of Greenway Health. “As the healthcare market continues its shift to value-based care, it’s crucial the industry stays ahead of the complex, evolving regulatory environment while supporting enhanced care and a better patient experience. The CHIME Innovation Partnership will provide Greenway with the opportunity to lead in the advancement of innovative initiatives that benefit healthcare providers today.”

Greenway is also honored to announce that Atkin will introduce the keynote speaker at the CHIME HIMSS CIO Forum in Orlando, Florida, February 10–11.

“Having Greenway as a CHIME Innovation Partner will expand what our organization can offer and improve our ability to address key challenges faced by many in the industry,” said Russell Branzell, CEO of CHIME. “It will take all of us working together to close the digital gap and transform health and care.”

CHIME Innovation is a resource for chief information officers, innovation executives, senior healthcare IT executives and others to promote innovative and disruptive technologies designed to transform health and care. CHIME Innovation will serve as an educational hub and an innovation facilitator for the health IT and innovation community.”

In addition to the partnership, Greenway’s Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, Kali Durgampudi, was recently appointed as an Advisory Board member of CHIME Innovation. Recently, he received the CHIME Foundation’s prestigious Industry Leader Award for 2018. Winners of the award have more than 20 years of positive, long-lasting influence within the healthcare IT industry and have supporting evidence of the positive impact of their work.

“At Greenway, we are stewards of innovation. Our customers look to us for guidance on the technologies they need to implement and integrate,” Durgampudi said. “By partnering with CHIME, we can continually make good on our promise of delivering state-of-the-art technologies to healthcare providers, so they can maintain a thriving, profitable practice, and give exceptional care to patients. We want to work with CHIME to create an Innovation ecosystem that benefits the industry as whole.”

Durgampudi is responsible for driving the company’s product excellence, including its Intergy EHR platform, which was recently recognized as a 2019 Best in KLAS: Most Improved Physician Practice Product. Intergy will evolve into Greenway’s next-generation platform, currently under development as Project Polaris, which will introduce technology that improves the patient experience and the health of populations, drives practice efficiencies to help providers avoid burnout, reduces costs, and supports new government payment models.
