Modernizing Medicine company and developer of the gGastro electronic health record (EHR), endoscopy report writer (ERW) and the fully integrated gPM practice management systems, today revealed its customer, Covenant Surgical Partners, agreed to continue implementing gMed’s gastroenterology-specific software and financial system across its enterprise. This announcement follows last year’s acquisition of gMed by Modernizing Medicine, Inc., the creator of the cloud-based, specialty-specific Electronic Medical Assistant® (EMA™), as well as the news that gGastro was selected as an alternate solution to Olympus’ EndoWorks platform, which is being discontinued.
Covenant Surgical Partners is a privately held owner and operator of ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs), anatomic pathology laboratories, anesthesia entities and physician practices across the country.
Prior to implementing gMed’s gGastro clinical system, Covenant had been utilizing a less specialized ambulatory surgery system across its enterprise. According to Jeff Fisher, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Covenant, “To facilitate growth and set the stage for the future of the company, our leadership team felt it was imperative to have a more robust and efficient system to enable workflow efficiency and allow for more streamlined processes.”
