CUBEX® LLC MedBank™ Solutions Announces Partnership with Pharmacy Network Services

cubex

CUBEX LLC’s MedBank™ Solutions, a leading provider of first dose and emergency medication management technology, announced today a new partnership alliance with Tennessee-based Pharmacy Network Services, a regional pharmaceutical distribution and management company.

Pharmacy Network Services has developed an enterprise-wide automation strategy to implement MedBank solutions within their pharmacies and portfolio of healthcare facilities across multiple states, with an initial deployment of over 30 devices.  This strategy supports Pharmacy Network Service’s initiative to reduce labor costs, while improving medication security, availability and delivery for their customers.

The MedBank Mini and Tower offer automated, DEA regulatory safeguards for storage of controlled substances and other medications, alongside bi-directional integration with pharmacy information management and electronic medical records systems creating a closed-loop workflow for better medication management.

“We are always looking to enhance medication safety and drive operational efficiencies so that we can provide our customers with the best possible service,” said Jason Guinn, Pharmacy Network Services Chief Financial Officer. “MedBank is our preferred partner because of its secured, CUBIE Exchange Replenishment Process which allows us to improve our total cost of ownership while at the same time providing the highest accountability for medication management. MedBank has demonstrated superior understanding of the challenges unique to the post-acute market and responded with best-in-class solutions and technology to address those specific needs.”

Pharmacy Network Services provides medications to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, specialty hospitals, and group homes, in Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.  Through the partnership, they hope to continue to expand their services into other bordering states.

“Amid the increase in opioid abuse, security and regulatory compliance of controlled substances is a top priority for healthcare facilities and servicing pharmacies, like Pharmacy Network Services,” said Michael Boivin, MedBank Solutions President. “MedBank offers a solution to improve patient care and make the process of storing and dispensing medications easy for providers.”
