The Georgia Department of Community Health hired Truven Health Analytics to create a statewide Health Information Exchange called the Georgia Health Information Network.
The exchange will use Truven Health to provide clinicians throughout the state with a longitudinal patient history at the point of care by securely capturing real-time clinical and administrative data from electronic medical records, health-care claims, CMS and other sources.
It will be the fifth statewide HIE supported by Truven Health’s platform.
