protonpacs

Radsource, a leader in radiology clinical services and provider of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), announced today that its ProtonPACS solution has been implemented at four Texas hospital locations.

Radsource, a leader in radiology clinical services and provider of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS), announced today that itsProtonPACS solution has been implemented at four Texas hospital locations.

The four Texas specialty surgical hospitals are operated through a partnership controlled by Baylor Scott & White Health. The Medical Centers (Trophy Club, Uptown, Arlington and Fort Worth), all located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, have successfully implemented the ProtonPACS suite including image distribution, HL7 integration, and redundant data archiving. ProtonPACS was selected for its hybrid cloud and onsite server architecture that minimizes downtime and for its PACS platform that leverages the #1 KLAS rated Intelerad software. By integrating ProtonPACS with the facilities’ Cerner EMR, the hospitals were able to enable image links via the EMR to attest for Meaningful Use Stage 2.

Jaclyn Carney, Senior Director of Business Development for Radsource, remarked: “The Baylor specialty hospitals recognized the value of converting to an enterprise PACS that required no upfront capital or significant internal IT resources, but still provided the advanced imaging capabilities they desired. By choosing ProtonPACS, the hospitals were able to solve their imaging workflow and integration issues while maintaining their focus on surgical services.”
