DoD Down-Selects Proposals for DHMSM EHR Project

argonaut

The Department of Defense (DoD) announced this week that it was down-selecting the bids for the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) Request for Proposal (RFP) to replace its Electronic Health Record (EHR) with a commercial product.  Five proposals were originally submitted for this project, and DoD just announced that it would be focusing on three proposals going forward.  Those teams are:

  • Allscripts, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Hewlett Packard
  • IBM and Epic
  • Cerner, Leidos, and Accenture Federal

The teams that were down-selected from the process include the PricewaterhouseCoopers team (which included General Dynamics Information Technology, DSS, and MedSphere), and the InterSystems team.

DoD plans to award the EHR contract by July 2015.
