DSS Acquires veEDIS Emergency Department Information System Software

New Emergency Department Management Capabilities Now Part of Juno EHR

Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS), a leading provider of health information technology (HIT) solutions for federal, private and public healthcare organizations, today announced that it has acquired the Emergency Department Information System software from veEDIS Clinical Systems.

Now a part of the DSS Juno EHR, the veEDIS Emergency Department Information System software was designed to streamline emergency department management, which will expand these capabilities within the Juno EHR for hospitals and health systems.

Created by a team of credentialed physicians and nurses, veEDIS combines real emergency department experience with advanced technology to provide software that assists in meeting quality patient care and safety goals.

“Emergency room departments are fast-paced environments where physicians and nurses need easy access to patient data for providing quality care in a rapid manner,” said Mark Byers, CEO of DSS. “This acquisition dramatically expands the emergency department capabilities within Juno EHR, allowing us to support better patient outcomes in these challenging settings.”

Intuitive and easy-to-use, web-based veEDIS delivers innovative solutions to clinical decision-makers through real-time comprehensive nurse and physician documentation. In addition, the software provides medical content aimed at reducing errors, mitigating risk and improving overall patient outcomes in the emergency room.

The DSS Juno EHR offers user-friendly capabilities that expand well beyond those from the larger EHRs in the marketplace. Built on one of the most top-rated usable platforms in its class, Juno provides streamlined navigation with fewer clicks and a common patient banner, empowering providers to focus on the work that matters.

DSS will officially launch Juno EHR at HIMSS 2019 in booth #5559, and will showcase how it streamlines and enhances clinical documentation, patient engagement, and patient access. Here are more insights into how Juno EHR offers enhanced usability to better empower providers.

The terms of the agreement are not publicaly disclosed.
