X-Ray Science Gordon Research Conference (GRC) 2019

allergy test and treatment

X-Ray Science Gordon Research Conference (GRC) is organized by Gordon Research Conferences (GRC) and will be held from Jul 28 – Aug 02, 2019 at Stonehill College, North Easton, Massachusetts, United States of America.

Conference Description:
The 2019 Gordon Research Conference on X-Ray Science will highlight (1) recent work and advances in accelerator-based x-ray sources to create x-ray beams with novel properties, (2) the development of novel x-ray imaging, characterization, and analysis techniques, and (3) novel applications of x-rays to frontier scientific challenges.

X-rays continue to play an important role in physics, materials research, chemistry, and biology and are expanding into ever-broadening areas of applied science and engineering. With all the on-going and planned upgrades to synchrotrons and with newly available XFEL sources, it is a very exciting time and vital to exchange ideas about the future of X-ray science and applications.

An international cast of speakers will present the latest scientific and technological achievements in X-Ray Science as well as provide a glance into the bright future. The conference, with its strongly interdisciplinary character, provides a stimulating environment to present the latest research in poster format, engage in discussions in a friendly setting, and exchange ideas with leaders in the field. We especially encourage young scientists in the early stages of their careers to participate and profit from this unique forum for exchange with leading scientists in a relaxed atmosphere. Selected poster(s) will be given the opportunity for a short talk. The collegial atmosphere of this Conference, with ample time for discussion as well as opportunities for informal gatherings in the afternoons and evenings, will provide an avenue for scientists from different disciplines to exchange ideas about forefront x-ray techniques and will promote cross-fertilization between the various research areas represented. We will again offer a one-hour session (on Monday afternoon from 3:00-4:00 pm) entitled “Power Hour: Committed to inclusion and the professional development of women in science” to help address the challenges that women face in science and provides a forum for discussion and mentoring.

The 2019 GRC on X-Ray Science will be held in conjunction with the Gordon Research Seminar (GRS). The GRS (July 27-28, 2019), a two-day meeting preceding the GRC, is specifically designed for graduate students and early career researchers. The meeting offers a unique opportunity for young scientists to present their work to their peers. It is expected that GRS participants will remain to participate in the subsequent GRC.
