F.A. Davis Partners with Noggin, LLC to Sell EHR

X North Memorial Health Care

F.A. Davis is pleased to announce a partnership with Noggin, LLC to resell its electronic health records system, EHR Tutor. EHR Tutor can be packaged with any F.A. Davis text to provide an easy-to-use, flexible, and affordable solution for teaching electronic charting across the nursing curriculum.

EHR Tutor is a web-based program accessible from a computer, tablet, or mobile device. It creates a real-world, in-depth charting experience for students in class, in the simulation lab, or in clinical. Designed to meet the needs of any nursing program, it can complement one course or an entire nursing program.

Instructors are able to select patients from a library of pre-built patient charts that represent the variety of diagnoses students will encounter in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Or, they can customize charts to meet their specific needs. They can also create new charts from scratch. EHR Tutor enables instructors to easily monitor their students’ progress through assignments, comment on their work, and grade the results. Realistic barcode scanning functionality even enables students to record patient medications.

“We are delighted to be able to offer EHR Tutor to our customers,” said Jean Rodenberger, Editor-in-Chief, Nursing for F.A. Davis. “The rapid changeover from paper to electronic records makes it absolutely essential that today’s students are able to integrate this new technology into all aspects of patient care. Packaging EHR Tutor with our texts enables us to help students learn these new skills.”

“From the very beginning of the product development process, we focused on creating an EHR charting solution that was not only extremely affordable, but also incredibly easy to navigate,” said Diane Yeager, founder of EHR Tutor. “As any instructor knows, if a software program is difficult to operate, it will be impossible to get faculty buy-in. Because of that, we’ve designed a system that is so intuitive for both instructors and students that it can be used the same day of training.”
