Feb 04 : Capital Health Announces Corporate Board Restructure

new product

Capital Health announced Tuesday plans to change the corporate structure of its healthcare system with the creation of a new corporate board focusing on growth.

The board of directors will continue to oversee hospital operations and the initiation of new programs and innovations, while the corporate board will focus on overall system growth, according to a statement from Capital Health.

“As healthcare rapidly changes, it is critical that we are well positioned to manage those changes as well as explore opportunities that will further move our system forward,” said Al Maghazehe, president and CEO of Capital Health.

Maghazehe said the new structure will give the hospital system the flexibility it needs to maintain itself as a leader in healthcare in the area.

Capital Health spokeswoman Jayne O’Connor said the new corporate board has not yet been set up and specifics of how the board will function have yet to be determined.

Samuel Plumeri Jr, the former chairman of the hospital’s board of directors, will lead the new board. Nancy Becker has replaced Plumeri as chairwoman of the board of directors.

Maghazehe praised both for their leadership skills and commitment to Capital Helath.

“With Sam as chair of the corporate board and Nancy as chair of the hospital board, we continue with the same outstanding leadership that has brought us so far, and now the possibilities are endless,” Maghazehe said.
