Feb 16 : Allscripts Sunrise Acute Care selected by IHMC as the core EHR for Flagship Hospital

allscripts healthcare solutions

Allscripts Healthcare Solutions (MDRX – Analyst Report) is increasingly gaining popularity among hospitals and healthcare systems on the back of its Sunrise Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform – a comprehensive suite of fully integrated population health capabilities comprising inpatient, ambulatory, emergency care and surgical care solutions.

Allscripts recently announced that its Sunrise Acute Care has been selected by Texas-based International Hospital Management Corp. (“IHMC”) as the core electronic health record (EHR) for Hospital CIMA San Jose.

Allscripts Sunrise will be used by IHMC’s flagship hospital in Costa Rica to advance support care and patient management efforts. The hospital, as reported, is expected to use the Allscripts Sunrise suite for inpatient, registration, scheduling, pharmacy and critical care.

This contract underscores the stellar performance of the company’s EHR platform in recent times. Recently, Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager was handed the best in KLAS award by KLAS Research.

The last year was a good one for the Allscripts Sunrise EHR platform, owing to increased sales to new domestic and international clients, particularly in the U.K.

Allscripts helped one of its clients, Alexandra Health System and Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS), in achieving Stage 6 on the HIMSS Analytics Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model (EMRAM) for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) in Singapore.

In addition, Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), a U.S.-based health system selected Allscripts Hosting Solution to provide enterprise-wide information technology (IT) through 2020.

Apart from that, MaineGeneral Health and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital have renewed their contracts and will continue using Allscripts TouchWorks electronic health records till 2022 and 2020, respectively.

We believe such regular contract wins will consistently drive Allscripts’ top-line growth and help it ward off stiff competition, going forward.
