Fluoroscopy Market with Current Trends Analysis, 2016-2026

Fluoroscopy is the enhanced X-ray which produces the moving images of an object on the screen or television like monitor. It is mainly used for the imaging of gastrointestinal tract to diagnose the clinical conditions such as tumors, ulcers, inflammation, blockades etc. It can also be used to monitor the procedures such as angiography, venography, orthopedic surgeries, and placement of peritoneal catheters, certain biopsies and many other surgical procedures which require radiological intervention. Being a minimally invasive technique, interventional radiology is widely accepted by the geriatric population. Many open surgeries are now replaced with the minimally invasive procedures after the introduction of fluoroscopy, which resulted in minimum risks to the patients and also reduces the length of stay in the hospital. Some other uses of fluoroscopy include locating foreign bodies, image guided anesthetic injections, percutaneous vertebroplasty, cardiac catheterization etc. Fluoroscopy instruments are often used with the mobile C-arms which allows the imaging of an object from different angles.

Fluoroscopy Market: Drivers and Restraints

The global fluoroscopy market is expected to grow significantly over the forecast period due to tie ups between interventionalists and manufacturers of innovative medical devices. Growing number of government hospitals and qualified interventionalists, increasing demand for minimally invasive interventional procedures are some other reasons for the growth of global fluoroscopy market. Whereas the requirement of sophisticated medical facilities and radiation related risks associated with fluoroscopy can be the major restraints for the growth of global fluoroscopy market.
