Formativ Health Improves Patient-Provider Compatibility and Communication with Integration of XpertDox

Formativ Health, which works with physician practices, hospitals and health systems to manage all facets of their patients’ experiences, will use XpertDox to best match patients and providers by leveraging their vast database of expert doctors, hospitals and clinical trials across approximately 6,000 diseases, 150 symptoms, 200 procedures and 130 specialties. XpertDox has mapped all the conditions covered in its database to approximately one million doctors, 4,500 hospitals and 20,000 clinical studies. The XpertDox data is enabled by a proprietary algorithm built by physician-scientists and optimized using input from leading doctors across multiple specialties.

Formativ’s team of more than 250 Patient Engagement Specialists (PES) who serve as the face of the practices Formativ manages, can now easily use the XpertDox database to access all necessary clinical information for aligning patients with the right provider within its Provider Directory. The practices Formativ represents can also receive physician ratings via XpertDox to aid in coordinating appropriate care.

“With XpertDox, patients no longer have to be matched with a provider based solely on availability or their type of insurance. Formativ has the ability to match patients with the physician best suited to treat their condition. Our Patient Engagement Specialists can easily search the XpertDox database built right into our PEP to quickly find the right physician at the right location at the right time,” explained David Harvey, Formativ’s chief technology officer.

“By capitalizing on the comprehensive data XpertDox affords us, we can tap into in-depth insight and get a personalized 360-degree evaluation of providers within the database. This allows Formativ to provide clients and their patients enhanced knowledge about specific caregivers’ expertise, outcomes, availability and network loyalty. We are confident that the health systems and providers we serve will appreciate the intelligence XpertDox will afford their practices and patients, and believe this will lead to greater patient engagement and satisfaction,” Harvey said.

Sameer Ather, M.D., Ph.D., co-founder and chief executive officer of XpertDox, added: “XpertDox is different than any other physician informational web site or database in that results can be tailored for any disease in our vast database by combining detailed information from clinical experience, research experience and educational contributions of a specific doctor. Doctor review websites are dependent on patient reviews that can be biased or easily influenced. In contrast, XpertDox’s physician profiles are created using unique algorithms that truly reveal to patients personalized expert doctors relevant to treatment of their condition. This customized information will prove very useful to Formativ as the Company continues to enhance its PEP and strengthens its Provider Directory capabilities, ensuring the providers it serves have access to the most appropriate and accurate data.”
