CareSync, the leading provider of software and services for chronic disease management, has named Gurpreet Singh vice president of interoperability. In this role, Singh will leverage his extensive experience in information technology to provide leadership around healthcare interoperability, which will in turn make it easier for patients and providers to access data. CareSync is committed to the idea that every person should have access to their data, and Singh will work with CareSync to achieve interoperability between the complete CareSync record and all the disparate data sources.

“CareSync is changing the healthcare industry, and I am excited to join them in powering this disruption. They have a great team, as well as wonderful product and service offerings, that I am looking forward to being associated with,” said Singh. “My background and technical experience is a great fit, and I look forward to being part of a company that is growing so rapidly and making meaningful contributions to patient care.”

Prior to joining CareSync, Singh served as the chief technology officer at MDRevolution. In this role, he led product strategy, roadmap and development functions. Most notably, he was responsible for creating the chronic care management (CCM) functionality in the MDRevolution platform, along with an electronic health record (EHR) integration strategy—experience that will greatly contribute to his role at CareSync. Singh is a seasoned entrepreneur with a proven track record of starting and building successful companies that deliver winning products and solutions, which is a valuable asset he brings to CareSync as the company rapidly grows. Singh is just one of 60 hires CareSync has made following its Series B announcement three months ago.

“We’re thrilled to bring in talent like Singh, and look forward to the work we’ll do to support the exchange and use of vital healthcare data. Access to data is critical for patients, their families and their providers—especially those coping with multiple chronic conditions—as they typically have a great deal of information to handle,” said Travis Bond, founder and CEO of CareSync. “Singh’s entrepreneurial spirit is a great fit for CareSync. As we continue to grow and expand, it’s important for us to have skilled team members who can help us to succeed in our mission to simplify the healthcare experience for everyone and help patients and their families better manage their chronic conditions.”

Before his work with MDRevolution, Singh founded Health-e-Link, a premier provider of cloud based EHR solution to small and medium size practices across California. Prior to founding Health-e-Link, he co-founded OpsHub and served as the Vice President of Sales. Singh also successfully started Parrus Technologies, LLC. and Parrus IT Solutions, Pvt. Ltd. He was responsible for diversifying Parrus into SCM Solutions, Outsourced Software Development and Sales Incubation Services for India. Under his leadership, Parrus grew to seven offices and spread across the U.S. and India with over 200 customers in the U.S., Europe, Middle East and India. Singh received his Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India and was part of the graduate program in Engineering Science at University of Toledo, Ohio. Singh also held engineering and management roles at Visa International, IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and Morgan Stanley.
