Health Systems Streamline Secure Data Sharing with Oracle Health

The new Oracle Health Connection Hub provides a single, unified console for data sharing control, auditing, and governance, allowing health systems to effortlessly manage a wide range of interoperability services.

Early adopters experience a 50% decrease in processing times for Social Security Administration disability benefit claims.

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Oracle Health Connection Hub is now widely available to U.S. healthcare providers, offering a single console to streamline onboarding, access, and management of preferences for Oracle Health interoperability solutions. This launch marks a significant advancement in Oracle’s mission to boost interoperability and reduce administrative hurdles between payers and providers. The Oracle Health Connection Hub simplifies the management of multiple tools used to share clinical and financial data with healthcare providers, government agencies, and payers.

“We remain committed to simplifying data exchange, enhancing data security, and automating manual tasks between payers and providers,” said Seema Verma, executive vice president and general manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences. “Oracle Health Connection Hub allows providers to tailor the data they share with other providers and payers, saving both time and costs while improving patient care.”

Streamlined data management with improved security and oversight
As health systems aim to boost efficiency, lower care delivery costs, and enhance care quality through secure data exchange, they often face complex integration challenges. These projects typically involve multiple disparate tools to manage data sharing, diverting staff time and attention away from patient care. This complexity can result in hospitals having limited control over their data and an incomplete understanding of the information they share with external parties.

Built on the secure, high-performance, and scalable Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Health Connection Hub addresses these issues by offering healthcare organizations a comprehensive data governance and reporting console. Authorized users gain a unified view of their data exchanges, allowing them to easily manage which organizations can access specific data types and quickly revoke access when needed to protect patient privacy. The console also provides a detailed audit trail, enabling providers to efficiently ensure policy compliance.

Oracle Health Connection Hub streamlines connection and management for Oracle Health Clinical Data Exchange, which automates clinical data sharing between providers and payers; Oracle Health Information Network, which supports nationwide patient data sharing across U.S. providers; and integration with the Social Security Administration (SSA) to simplify disability benefits processing.

Additionally, Oracle Health Connection Hub will support providers in participating in the Trusted Exchange Framework and Common Agreement™ (TEFCA™) once Oracle Health Information Network Inc., a subsidiary of Oracle Health, becomes a designated Qualified Health Information Network® (QHIN™). This will make it easier for Oracle Health customers to opt in, accept the Common Agreement terms, and onboard to the U.S. government–endorsed nationwide framework for secure, seamless, and standardized health information sharing among providers, payers, and government agencies.

Oracle Health plans to expand connectivity to include lab, immunization, and prescription networks in the future. Oracle Health Connection Hub is currently available to all Oracle Health customers and can be easily accessed through the Oracle Cloud Console at no extra cost.

Electronic data exchange helps speed up the transfer of patient information.
Using Oracle Health Connection Hub to streamline connections with the SSA enables providers to greatly reduce the administrative workload associated with benefits claims processing. Since 2022, Oracle has partnered with the SSA to accelerate patient disability benefits claims through secure electronic retrieval of clinical health records (EHRs). Automating this process can reduce record transfer times from weeks or months down to seconds or minutes, thereby speeding up the delivery of critical benefit determinations and payments to patients and their families.

“By working with medical record providers to receive patient records electronically, the SSA can cut typical disability benefit application processing times by nearly 50 percent,” said Sean Fry, executive advisor for Health Information Technology and Electronic Records at the Office of Disability Policy. “Electronic data exchange with healthcare organizations is not only more efficient—saving time compared to traditional methods like mail and fax—but it also lowers mailing and printing costs.”
