HealthSpot Unveils Cloud-Based Software Platform & Data Integration

LOS ANGELES – ATA 2015 – Booth #1617 – May 4, 2015 – HealthSpot Inc., a pioneer in patient and provider-driven healthcare technology, is pleased to return to the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) conference to showcase the latest upgrade to its consumer centric healthcare software solution in booth #1617.

HealthSpot® will give ATA attendees a first look at its new patient and provider portal interfaces alongside the upcoming launch of its new consumer retail pharmacy Personal Health Record (PHR). HealthSpot’s upgraded software facilitates web-based telehealth visits that feature a remote exam, combining the use of digital medical devices-the same found in a traditional doctor’s office-with high-definition videoconferencing, providing a true face-to-face experience. The new software also provides an easy to use online scheduling tool for patients to conveniently make a HealthSpot appointment. The award winning HealthSpot station is a private, walk-in kiosk and gives patients increased access to care by connecting with the local medical community and providing interactions with world-class doctors at convenient locations like the corner pharmacy.

The 2.0 software upgrade leverages Xerox’s healthcare IT infrastructure to seamlessly interface with insurance claims through a payment data feed and integrates with electronic medical records (EMRs) for continuity of care. The back-end integration with the Xerox infrastructure enables a secure, cloud-based environment that is scalable to and delivers consistent performance.

Creating a new front door to healthcare, the HealthSpot platform offers providers and consumers a new way to deliver and receive the high quality standard of care they expect in familiar locations such as their neighborhood pharmacy. The foundation of the HealthSpot telehealth platform is built on creating a friendly, consumer experience and expanding access to care by driving patient adoption of remote healthcare delivery models. Over the next few months, HealthSpot will be opening its first retail pharmacy location in Ohio with plans to expand across the country.
