Hilo Medical Center Streamlines Workflow with Plexus TG’s Integrated Anesthesia EMR Solution

Anesthesia Touch (Anesthesia EMR) (PRNewsfoto/Plexus Technology Group)

JACKSON, Mich.July 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Plexus Technology Group, LLC (Plexus TG), a market-leading, best-of breed provider of anesthesia information management systems (AIMS), announces Hilo Medical Center, rated a four-star acute care hospital by Centers for Medicaid & Medicare and located in Hilo, Hawaii, successfully automated its anesthesia documentation, transitioning from paper records to Anesthesia Touch™. Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) recognized Hilo Medical Center for developing a proven health information technology system with the implementation of MEDITECH 6.0x electronic health record (EHR) to improve patient outcomes by selecting Hilo Medical Center as the first “safety net” hospital to receive its prestigious Enterprise Davies Award.

Hilo Medical Center selected Plexus TG after searching for a comprehensive AIMS solution with proven interoperability, excellent mobility and ease of use. By integrating the documentation between Plexus TG’s Anesthesia Touch and their MEDITECH EMR, Hilo Medical Center simplifies their perioperative surgical workflow and enhances clinician and patient satisfaction. The EHR interfacing and monitor connectivity provides the anesthesia clinicians with access to scheduling data, patient demographics and physiologic data, giving providers the information they need when they need it.

“Plexus has proven to be a welcome partner in delivering a user friendly and adaptable AIMS at Hilo Medical Center. The Plexus team has been readily available to assist in providing solutions to optimize workflow,” said Steve Lazaro, MD, Medical Director of Anesthesia Services at Hilo Medical Center.

“We appreciate our partnership with Hilo Medical Center and support their commitment to excellence by incorporating innovative technology into their perioperative workflow,” explained Tony Mira, CEO of Plexus Technology Group. “By automating the clinical documentation process, the clinicians can access patient information and anesthesia records quickly, as well as having access to extensive data analytics that support national quality initiatives.”

As an iPad-based anesthesia documentation solution, Anesthesia Touch’s full KLAS rating demonstrates Plexus TG’s commitment to providing complete AIMS functionality for their clients. For more information, visit www.klasresearch.com.
