If You Don’t Protect Your Skin from the Sun Now, You’ll Hate Yourself Later

Although Australia is known for its massive inland desert topography, its climate varies from place to place. However, one thing is common, when summer comes, it is how it is everywhere, with daytime temperatures ranging from 32 to 40 degrees Celsius. Australia is also blessed with many sunny days, with cities such as Perth receiving almost 290 days of sun each year.

However, while it is great to have many sunny days for outdoor activities, too much exposure to the sun can damage your skin and affect your health significantly. It is therefore important for you to use sun protection australia products such as sunscreen and sun sleeves. Here are some of the reasons why you need to protect your skin from the sun.

Avoid Getting A Sunburn. Most people will get sunburned at least once in their lifetime. However, repeated sunburn may cause the skin to become permanently damaged. Sunburn causes your skin to redden and form blisters. Too much sun exposure can lead to more harmful effects such as skin cancer. One way to prevent this is by applying sunscreen on exposed parts of your skin. If you are always outdoors, applying sunscreen may be too costly if you apply it daily. One way to save on sunscreen is to use sun protection australia clothing such as sun sleeves that cover the whole length of your arm.

Prevents Skin Cancer. Sunlight contains ionising radiations in the form of Ultraviolet Rays. The UV-B and UV-C rays can penetrate deep into your skin and can cause damage to your skin cells. Even if it is cold outside, exposing yourself to UV-B and UV-C rays can cause damage to the DNA found in your skin cells. This damage may lead to the formation of skin cancer in any part of your body where the skin was exposed too long.

Prevents Premature Aging. Too much exposure to the sun can lead to the skin drying up and aging prematurely. Common signs of premature aging include tanned skin, sun spots, and redness. Research shows that people who constantly wear sunscreen and sun protection clothing are less likely to develop these premature aging signs and are more likely to retain youthful-looking skin.

Prevents Tanned Skin. Unless it is your objective, protecting your skin with sunscreen and sun protection australia clothing will prevent it from getting tanned. Tanned skin is an indication of injured and damaged skin. Avoid getting tanned or sunburned skin at all times. Tanned skin is overrated anyway, and you do not need it to look good.

Prevents Existing Conditions from Flaring Up. If you already have an existing skin condition, covering your skin with sun protective clothing will prevent your condition from flaring up or getting worse. For example, visible veins in the arms and legs are caused when sunlight breaks down the collagen in your limbs which causes the veins to become more visible. Protecting your limbs with a layer of sun protection clothing will prevent your varicose veins from getting more visible.

Days with sun should be a day of fun. You can do all your outdoor activities how you want just as long as you have ample protection against the sun. The sun protection australia clothing such as sun sleeves will offer you great protection from the sun’s harmful rays.
