The company’s IntelliCare™ platform enhances healthcare delivery with AI-driven efficiency and improved clinician experience.
InterSystems has received the Indonesia Technology Innovation of the Year – Healthcare Technology award at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2025 for its AI-powered electronic health record (EHR) system, InterSystems IntelliCare™.
As a global data technology leader managing over one billion healthcare records, InterSystems built IntelliCare on the foundation of its TrakCare EHR platform, used by more than 600 hospitals worldwide to transform healthcare delivery. With AI embedded at its core, IntelliCare enhances clinical efficiency by streamlining workflows, documentation, and EHR navigation. EMC Healthcare in Indonesia became the first organization globally to implement IntelliCare.
Jusup Halimi, President Director of EMC Group, stated that adopting IntelliCare represents a major advancement in healthcare delivery. “Our goal is to boost efficiency, minimize errors, and elevate patient care across our facilities. This innovation transforms the experience for both patients and providers,” he said.
A pilot rollout at EMC Healthcare showed tangible results — cutting the number of clicks needed to access lab results by 75%. With IntelliCare’s AI Assistant, clinicians can retrieve information faster, reduce workflow disruptions, and spend more time focusing on patient care.
IntelliCare integrates artificial intelligence across clinical, administrative, and revenue cycle management functions. Its capabilities include automated documentation, natural language summarization, AI-assisted coding, and prepopulated clinical prompts — all designed to enhance accuracy and accelerate clinical decision-making. Built on the InterSystems IRIS for Health data platform, IntelliCare enables seamless interoperability and supports flexible deployment options across on-premises, cloud, and SaaS environments, making it scalable for healthcare providers of any size.
InterSystems developed IntelliCare and IRIS for Health with strong regional adaptability. The system is preconfigured to meet local market needs, while the IRIS for Health Local Edition supports national healthcare programs such as Indonesia’s SATUSEHAT. The company’s ethical AI framework emphasizes transparency, safety, and human oversight, ensuring technology enhances—rather than replaces—the clinician’s role.
The Asian Innovation Excellence Awards celebrate organizations that deliver measurable impact and address critical challenges through innovation and operational excellence, recognizing transformative initiatives driving progress across industries in the region.
