iPatientCare’s Recently Launched Software Version 18.0 is Now NCQA PCMH 2017 Prevalidated

iPatientCare, a pioneer in cloud-based ambulatory EHR and Revenue Cycle Management services, announces its achievement of getting its software, iPatientCare EHR v18.0, to be NCQA PCMH 2017 Prevalidated. Pre-validation for NCQA includes rigorous evaluation of health IT solution’s functionality including but not limited to reporting functions, screen shots, live demonstrations and other relevant documentation. Based on this, NCQA approves or declines autocredit depending on PCMH factor-level requirements and designates for which factors a product is able to “support” practices. iPatientCare’s EHR v18.0 is prevalidated by NCQA to receive automatic credit toward NCQA’s PCMH 2017 scoring. Autocredit is transferrable to iPatientCare’s PCMH client practices seeking NCQA’s PCMH Recognition. iPatientCare’s PCMH eligible client practices must be actively utilizing the reviewed capabilities associated with iPatientCare’s PCMH prevalidated product in order to be eligible for transfer of awarded autocredit.

The Patient-Centered Medical Home is a model of care that puts patients at the forefront of care. PCMHs build better relationships between people and their clinical care teams. Many payers provide financial incentives to the NCQA recognized Patient Centered Medical Homes. PCMH recognized or certified practices receive full credit for improvement Activity Performance Category under MIPS. PCMH includes integrated care that produces better outcomes and helps patients avoid costly complications. Patient-Centered Medical Homes has improved the way a patient receives treatment as and when they need. It has reduced the costs of hospitalizations and improved patient experience and staff satisfaction. This Medical Home model is one of the Core requirements for Advanced APM.

NCQA’s PCMH 2017 Prevalidation evaluates Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, advanced registries, population health management tools, care coordination tools, patient engagement tools and other related health technology solutions providing functionality that completely meet or support factor-level requirements within applicable NCQA PCMH 2017 Standards. If a health IT solution completely meets the functional requirements of a given factor, automatic credit, “autocredit” points are awarded.

If the health IT solution provides significant functionality that aligns with the requirements of the PCMH standards for a given factor, but does not fully meet the factor level requirement, a “supporting” designation is awarded. Once a solution receives autocredit or a supporting designation for one or more factors, it is considered “Prevalidated.” Practices that use an NCQA Prevalidated system with autocredit awarded to a factor do not have to submit documentation for that associated factor within their PCMH Survey. PCMH 2017 Prevalidation is designed to help practices identify health IT solutions that alleviate or make more efficient administrative aspects of meeting NCQA PCMH 2017 Program requirements.

“By providing software that helps physician practices build the patient-focused, coordinated care infrastructure expected of NCQA patient-centered medical homes, iPatientCare, Inc. is helping practices be part of modern health care’s most important transformations,” said NCQA President Margaret E. O’Kane. “Medical homes are the way of the future, and iPatientCare EHR v18.0 is helping practices get there.”

“iPatientCare has always been committed on higher scale to satisfy healthcare industry’s on going changes. As the US Healthcare delivery model is changing from fee-for-service payment model towards value-based care, Providers are looking for tools that help them with the holistic care coordination, collaboration with patients and those in their care team, at the same time reducing their burden and cost. iPatientCare 18.0, a 2015 ONC-ACB Health IT Certified EHR supports the requirements for the PCMH program and CPC+ Program. We are now NCQA PCMH 2017 prevalidated. Practices using iPatientCare can now earn automatic credit for some of the Key Core and Elective Criteria for PCMH 2017, without having to submit documentation to NCQA.” said Arnaz Bharucha, Sr. Technology Officer, iPatientCare, Inc.

About iPatientCare:

Based at Woodbridge, New Jersey, iPatientCare is a private-held Corporation that is nationally recognized as one of the leading companies providing EHR and integrated MACRA-ready solutions and intelligent medical billing and revenue cycle enhancement services to physician offices providing primary and specialty care, rural health clinics, and community/federally qualified health centers (CHC/FQHC) nationwide.

At iPatientCare, we help healthcare providers dramatically reduce A/R days and improve collections rates, reduce billing costs, eliminate the burden of repeatable, high volume work on their internal teams, and plug gaps in staffing and internal bandwidth. Our expert teams are comprised of senior executives with extensive experience in clinically-driven revenue cycle management systems including certified billers and coders with managerial capabilities to facilitate client interactions, escalations and SLA. We also provide a dedicated account manager and a team of talented experts assigned to work as an extension of your office, instead of operating as an outsourced billing company or technology vendor.

iPatientCare EHR 2014 (2.0) has received 2014 Edition Ambulatory Complete EHR certification by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB), in accordance with the applicable eligible professional certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). Full certification details can be found at ONC Certified Health IT Product List. Moreover, now iPatientCare EHR 18.0 has received 2015 Edition ONC Health IT certification by Drummond Group, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB), in accordance with the applicable eligible professional certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). If desired, we make the difficult tasks of revenue cycle optimization and MACRA/PCMH/QR reporting easier by bundling innovative EHR and other cloud-based practice solutions as part of our revenue cycle management and MACRA consulting services at no additional costs.

As part of its MACRA-ready solutions, iPatientCare has been recognized as a qualified MACRA-MIPS registry for the year 2018 by CMS, and has a distinguished credit of being selected as a preferred EHR vendor and medical/chiropractic billing company by more than 70,000 users nationwide, numerous hospitals/health systems, federally funded regional extension centers, and in the past by the US Army and NASA Space Medicine.
