Benchmark Systems Inc., a leading company offering web-based medical practice software, announced last month that it will provide service to Emmaus Health, a provider of primary care in Ann Arbor, MI, implementing an automated, fully integrated electronic medical record system addressing both clinical and business concerns.

Care providers will also have secure remote access to patient charts, and an online patient portal will allow patients to complete forms and submit preliminary information before office visits even take place.
The technology suite selected by Emmaus will also include applications geared toward administrative operations. This includes automated coding that will make both front- and back-office procedures more efficient.
