Jan 19 : GI Partners Buys Logibec, a Canadian Healthcare IT Company

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 16, 2015 – GI Partners, a leading private equity firm, announced today that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Logibec, Inc. from OMERS Private Equity.

Logibec is one of Canada’s largest healthcare IT, which has a team of over 300 professionals and a large number of healthcare facilities using the company’s software. Dedicated entirely to the health and social services sectors, Logibec was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Montreal.

Harris Williams & Co. and National Bank of Canada acted as financial advisors, and Goodmans LLP served as legal counsel for Logibec. Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP served as legal counsel for management. William Blair & Company served as financial advisor, and Paul Hastings LLP and Stikeman Elliot LLP served as legal counsel for GI Partners. Financing for the transaction is being provided by Macquarie Corporate and Asset Finance Lending.
