Jan 30 : Altegra’s HEDIS.com Awarded NCQA Software Certification

altegra health

MIAMI LAKES, Fla. — Altegra Health, Inc., a technology-enabled, payment solutions provider and other risk-bearing organizations, today announced that the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) has issued its Software Certification for Altegra Health’s HEDIS.com Solution for the tenth consecutive year.

The HEDIS.com Solution (www.hedis.com) is the engine that powers Altegra Health’s suite of Web-based HEDIS offerings called HEDIS Smart™. These offerings include certified rate reporting, quality analytics and hybrid medical record review – enabling health plans to effectively manage and optimize their overall HEDIS processes, reporting, and results.

“In today’s quality-centric and value-based payment environment, HEDIS performance measures are more important than ever for the healthcare industry,” said Kevin Barrett, president and CEO of Altegra Health. “This year’s certification from the NCQA for the 2015 HEDIS reporting season demonstrates our company’s continued commitment to stay on the leading edge of HEDIS reporting standards, including standards for the new Marketplace Quality Rating System, and to deliver best-in-class services that assist health plans in improving quality ratings and health outcomes.”

Altegra Health’s comprehensive line of HEDIS Smart™ solutions is delivered by a secure Web-based portal and features innovative tools and services for managing the annual submission event of HEDIS measures and for improving future quality performance. At the core of this solution is the quality measurement analytics engine, serving as the foundation of Altegra Health’s HEDIS-based programs, including HEDIS, Medicare Advantage Star Rating Reporting, and the Health Insurance Marketplace Quality Rating System.

To impact future quality performance, Altegra Health’s Quality Performance Solutions allow for retrospective and prospective rate analysis with built-in audit support features, claim level transparency and performance tracking through integrated benchmarks and health plan generated targets. In addition, the solution includes member and provider engagement tools and services for implementing rate improvement strategies, as well as comprehensive analytics for current, future and target Star Rating performance.

“Altegra Health’s quality measurement and reporting capabilities, coupled with the ability to incorporate data from risk adjustment activities, provide the ability to more effectively leverage member and provider engagement activities to increase the accuracy of both quality ratings and risk scores, enhance health plan revenue, and improve member satisfaction,” Barrett said.
