Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) Selects HCS Interactant EHR and Goes Live with Solution across Three States

HCS, a leading provider of clinical and financial healthcare information systems to more than 4,500 active client locations, is pleased to announce that Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) of Plano, TX has selected HCS Interactant™ to provide an integrated EHR platform for their Long-Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACHs).

Commented Leslie Boney, CHC’s Senior Vice President of Post-acute Services. “We evaluated HCS and determined that they could provide the LTACH-specific software solutions we required.”

CHC awarded the contract to HCS in late 2013 and has since gone live with HCS Interactant at LTACHs that CHC owns in Kentucky, North Carolina and Texas.

“When we set out to find a long-term vendor for our growing LTACH line of business, we focused on an HIT system that could provide us with flexibility and experience in the LTACH market,” commented Leslie Boney, CHC’s Senior Vice President of Post-acute Services. “We evaluated HCS and determined that they could provide the LTACH-specific software solutions we required.”

“HCS Interactant allows us to deploy individual modules or the entire integrated platform at each facility, as we grow the number of LTACHs we own or manage,” said Brian Doerr, CHC’s Senior Vice President of Information Technology. “The HCS implementation and support team has become an extension of our team.”

“We’re proud to partner with Community Hospital Corporation to address the specific EHR needs for their LTACHs,” stated Thomas J. Fahey, HCS President and Chief Executive Officer. “We believe our integrated Interactant software platform is the most comprehensive LTACH solution available today. As an example, the CMS mandated LTCH CARE Data Set is embedded within our Interactant EMR module and that’s an industry first. We are about to eclipse 100 LTACH clients across the U.S. and working with companies like CHC speaks volumes of how we support high-performing, complex organizations,” Fahey continued.
