A Top Reseller of eClinicalWorks, Curas serves medical practices in 30 states

Today marks the tenth anniversary for Curas, Inc., a St. Louis-based health care IT firm specializing in the eClinicalWorks suite of ambulatory healthcare IT solutions. The firm, which boasts among the highest rates of successful electronic health records (EHR) implementation, has achieved significant growth since 2004 and been honored with a number of awards.

Num Pisutha-Arnond, Curas Co-Founder and Managing Partner, attributes the success to the firm’s expertise not just in eClinicalWorks, but also in the workflow, processes, and human interaction involved in leveraging the system to make practices more efficient and profitable.

“In many cases, transitioning to electronic health records is a complete mind shift for the medical office staff,” said Pisutha-Arnond. “We’ve heard from clients time and again how the Curas implementation and support team has taken personal care to ensure that transition goes smoothly.”

The personal care that Pisutha-Arnond mentions, along with Curas’ implementation skill, has led to a client base of over 700 physicians in 30 states. In 2012, Curas was named the preferred eClinicalWorks provider for the state of Hawaii through an agreement with the Hawaii Regional Extension Center to facilitate statewide EHR adoption.

Curas has also received numerous awards over its ten-year history, including its inclusion on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies from 2011-2013. The firm has also received the St. Charles County Economic Spotlight Award, was named among the Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in St. Louis for multiple years, was a top reseller of eClinicalWorks for three consecutive years, and remains among the top ranked today. Curas has grown from 2 employees in 2004 to over 20 employees in five states and revenue of nearly $3 million.

“As we look forward, medical practices are now looking to enhance and optimize their electronic health records and practice management systems,” said Pisutha-Arnond. They want to know what more they can do, and are seeking a greater deal of integration with all facets of a patient’s care, from lab interfaces to custom reporting. Curas is proud to have been on the forefront of the EHR industry, giving us the knowledge and experience to help practices now reach this next level.”
