Enhanced EHR Functionality Makes It Easier for Independent Medical Practices to Comply With MACRA and Earn Positive Payment Adjustments

Clinicians using Kareo Clinical EHR are not asked to enter additional data for reporting on MIPS measures. When the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services first began regulating EHR use in 2011, the market was flooded with over 500 EHR vendors. This number dropped by a third for the 2014 Edition certification; and according to the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC), in 2018 slightly more than 100 vendors have passed the most recent certification criteria (2015 Edition).
