Labguru and Titian Software Merge and Rebrand as Cenevo

Cenevo Unites Leading Lab Management Platforms Labguru and Mosaic to Maximize Laboratory Potential and Drive Faster Scientific Breakthroughs

Titian Software and Labguru have rebranded as **Cenevo**, unifying their solutions—Labguru and Mosaic—under a single brand to foster innovation, enhance collaboration, and accelerate scientific discovery. The newly combined organization focuses on lab management systems, automation, orchestration, data management, and AI-driven technologies.

Cenevo’s platform enables smart, connected laboratories that are automated, data-centric, and AI-enabled by merging Mosaic’s sample-focused lab operations with Labguru’s experimental-centric inventory, registration, ELN, and LIMS capabilities. This integration allows scientists to streamline lab workflows, prevent data loss, and optimize research efficiency and accuracy—empowering teams to produce faster, reproducible results at lower costs.

The merger represents a strategic advancement by combining the strengths of Mosaic and Labguru into a single, scaled organization, delivering expanded functionality, faster innovation—particularly in AI—and an enhanced customer experience.

The name Cenevo, derived from “central” and “evolution,” highlights the company’s pivotal role in driving the next evolution of scientific research.

Laboratory operations are undergoing significant transformation, driven by advances in AI, robotics, increasing data volumes, evolving research demands, and funding pressures. According to Cenevo’s research, only 15% of labs are fully digital, while 50% still rely heavily on manual processes. Over the next two years, 45% of the 150+ labs surveyed plan to adopt next-generation technologies such as AI and advanced robotics.

These insights guide Cenevo’s strategy and product development, reinforcing its commitment to innovation and its mission to help labs tackle industry challenges—including data overload, manual inefficiencies, and funding constraints—while maximizing research productivity and outcomes.

“Cenevo embodies both our legacy and our vision for the future. As we merge the two companies, we unite around shared values: deep expertise that empowers our customers, a spirit of curiosity driving innovation, a collaborative approach advancing scientific progress, and a commitment to authenticity that fosters lasting trust,” says Keith Hale, Chief Executive Officer at Cenevo.

“Our priorities moving forward are clear: **Investment. Innovation. Customer Service.** We will focus our investments on what matters most to our customers, pursue bold innovation to remain at the forefront, deliver value-for-money, and strengthen our engagement with the global scientific community. The trusted Labguru and Mosaic solutions will continue to be central to our identity—whether used individually or together—based on our customers’ needs. We remain committed to enhancing these products, expanding their capabilities, and delivering innovative data- and AI-enabled solutions,” he adds.

Cenevo is relied upon by scientists, companies, and research institutions worldwide. Its global customer base spans academic institutions, early-stage biotech firms, and leading biopharma companies—including eight of the top ten pharma firms—totaling over 950 customers. More than 45,000 scientists depend on Cenevo’s solutions, supported by an international team of over 200 employees across offices in the UK, US, Israel, and Poland. Cenevo combines deep scientific expertise with advanced technology tailored to the unique needs of researchers.

Mosaic provides a comprehensive suite of tools for efficient, accurate sample tracking, management, and workflow automation across modalities, with over 150 device and system integrations to optimize orchestration and accuracy. Labguru offers a cloud-based, multimodal laboratory data management platform, integrating ELN, LIMS, registry, inventory management, and AI-driven informatics tools. Scientists use Labguru to plan, document, track, streamline, automate, and share their research across the entire lifecycle—from discovery to production.

“Labs today face mounting pressures to cut costs, manage increasing volumes of data, and accelerate scientific discovery across a growing and complex range of modalities. At Cenevo, we see smart, connected labs as the future. Connectivity forms the backbone of both automation and AI adoption—but in many labs today, a lack of integration limits intelligent data use and access to next-generation tools,” says **Jonathan Gross, Chief Product Officer at Cenevo.

“Our solutions are built to address these challenges. **Mosaic** sets the benchmark in lab automation connectivity, offering unmatched off-the-shelf integration and control across liquid handlers, automated storage systems, and rack scanners—its distinctive strength in the market. Labguru leads in lab data management by unifying essential lab functions into a single, comprehensive platform that captures critical experimental and operational data. Together, these scalable solutions support labs at every stage—from academic research to emerging biotech and large-scale biopharma—enabling digital transformation, automation, and innovation across modalities. Combined, they empower labs to deliver reproducible, high-quality science faster and at scale.”

Under CEO Keith Hale, Cenevo is guided by a seasoned executive team with deep expertise in biopharma, biotech, AI, and digital transformation. This experienced leadership brings decades of success in scientific discovery and technology innovation, positioning the company for strong growth and a leading role in the AI-driven era.

Cenevo is backed by Battery Ventures, a global technology-focused investment firm with extensive expertise in life sciences informatics and laboratory automation. Titian received a major investment from Battery in June 2022, followed by Labguru joining the portfolio in April 2024.
