South Shore Mental Health rebrands as Aspire Health Alliance reflecting a new mission, vision and values that boldly energizes the organization to achieve a vision where there is no health without mental health at its core.

After years of committed leadership, Harry Shulman retires and the organization welcomes Antony Sheehan as its new President and CEO. Bayview Counseling Associates Quincy begins offering Dialectical Behavior Therapy for adolescents and adults.

Dr. William Beardslee and Children’s Hospital Boston collaborate with SSMH to adapt Family Talk Preventive Intervention program for use with In-Home Therapy (IHT). SSMH clinicians certified to provide Mental Health First Aid USA training.

SSMH among first behavioral healthcare providers in Massachusetts to introduce comprehensive electronic health record. CBHI and clinical outreach services extended to Southeastern Massachusetts.

Step One campus for children with developmental disabilities opens in Quincy. SSMH acquires North River Associates outpatient counseling clinic in Marshfield and begins offering Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

SSMH adds Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) In-Home Therapy and Therapeutic Mentoring services to available offerings. Delivery of mobile clinical services expanded to include Boston. SSMH partners with Quincy Police Department to begin offering Jail Diversion Program.

Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) launched to help adults for whom traditional outpatient therapy has not been effective. Bayview Associates Counseling outpatient clinic opens in Wareham. Bayview Associates Counseling outpatient clinic opens in Plymouth. Patriot Ledger designates SSMH as recipient organization for annual Lend A Hand Program.

Aspire Health Alliance provides a wide array of counseling and evaluation services to children and their families. Services are offered at a variety of locations throughout Boston, the South Shore and Southeastern Massachusetts. We offer highly specialized flexible services such as early intervention, outreach and in home therapy in settings such as homes, hospitals, clinics, community based centers and schools. Aspire Health Alliance also provides continuum of care through intensive wrap-around services, home based and community resources.
