Healthcare Hospitals

The Center for Health Affairs

As the leading advocate for Northeast Ohio hospitals, The Center for Health Affairs provides members with vital services and resources aimed at enhancing the region’s healthcare community.  The Center delivers on this goal by focusing its efforts on areas that benefit from a regional approach:

With a rich history as the Northeast Ohio hospital association, dating back to 1916, The Center serves as the collective voice of hospitals and the source for Northeast Ohio hospital and healthcare information.

Because healthcare and hospital policy is influenced by external forces and events, our role as leading advocates for Northeast Ohio hospitals is to remain ahead of that curve – weighing in on pending legislation, proactively communicating with members, anticipating future workforce shortages, applying for regional funding, and providing a single voice for the region when necessary.

The Center for Health Affairs’ emergency preparedness partners help the Northeast Ohio region prepare for and mitigate the effects of natural and man-made disasters. Its emergency preparedness healthcare coalition include hospitals, health departments, emergency medical services, emergency management agencies, other healthcare providers effected by the 2016 CMS Emergency Preparedness Final Rule, as well as other local, state and federal agencies.

The Center for Health Affairs is the leading source of Northeast Ohio healthcare news and information, and offers a regional voice to members of the media. To create a better public understanding of the Northeast Ohio healthcare region, The Center aims to provide a variety of Northeast Ohio healthcare news, factual information, studied opinion, and expert analysis of the latest policy affecting the region’s hospitals.
